Job Description
BAE Systems is hiring for a Materials and Logistic Manager to support the Vehicle Assembly facility located in Anniston, AL In this position, you will be responsible for leading all the Material Planning, Warehousing and Shipping activities for the site. This position reports directly to the Site Lead.
Key Responsibilities/ Essential Functions include:
Drive a culture of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality standards.
Provide leadership/direction to planners in the receipt of components, raw materials, equipment and supplies required to hit on-time delivery targets.
Manage and refine the Kanban-based materials system that has been established to assembly line support this includes existing product lines, as well as managing capacity ramps and integration of new product lines.
Develop relationships with supply chain personnel to ensure continuous supply and availability of production materials.
Participate in the negotiating due date expectations with internal customers to ensure on time delivery of product.
Support LEAN culture and operations.
Monitor sales volume, performance to delivery targets and forecasts, and take action where required.
Drive implementation of best practices in all material functions.
Implement processes/systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness of data input and ERP system transactions within materials group.
Lead the team in managing material storage in the warehouse and across the facility.
Drive accuracy of finished goods and raw materials inventory
Provides up-to-date KPI data and analyzes and recommends necessary corrective actions.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s Degree
In-depth knowledge of materials management with a minimum of 10 years of materials management or logistics experience.
Understanding of production planning, MRP and use of an ERP system
Experience leading teams in a service organization focused on supporting internal customers..
Demonstrated leadership experience in change management.
Demonstrated business acumen.
Experience in process optimization and optimization of resourcesExperience with workplace technology solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as proficiency in developing and making presentations.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience with an Oracle based ERP system
Experience managing an organization that includes bargaining unit employees
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $101520 - $172620
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
