Position Summary:  

As a Lead Fabricator you will be responsible for following a blueprint while welding aluminum and steel. This role is crucial in ensuring quality control standards are met while following safety guidelines while leading others throughout the shop floor.

Essential Functions:

• Oversee day-to-day production activity.

• Facilitate departmental workflow to achieve optimum productivity while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

• Aid in planning projects and executing project guidelines.

• Weld a variety of aluminum or steel structures per blueprint requirements.

• Use shears, grinder, torch, press brake, or drill press as needed per job specifications.

• Reading and understanding product schematics, along with assembly instructions.

• Verifying dimensions and product specifications.

• In addition to any other duties assigned by the leader.

Work Environment:

• Work Conditions consist of a manufacturing plant environment.

• Must be able to work in a variety of work environments, such as cold and hot weather.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to stoop, crawl, walk, twist, and stand for long periods at a time.

• Should have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.

• Safety glasses and steel tipped work boots must always be worn.

Required Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Certified Welding Certificate preferred.

• 5+ years’ experience in Fabrication - metal, wood, and/or plastic

• Welding abilities in MIG, flux core, aluminum, TIG, and/or stick

• Sign fabrication experience preferred.

• Ability to read blueprints.

• Good dexterity

• Spectacular attention to detail

• Good organizational skills
