ABM Industries Low Voltage Technician in Beaufort, South Carolina

Overview

The Low Voltage Technician is expected to safely perform a wide variety of duties maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting and installing wiring related to security systems, camera systems, lighting control, occupancy control, access control, electronic scoreboards and central clock system. The ideal candidate should have experience working with low voltage systems in both residential and commercial settings.

Pay: $18-22/hr

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities

  • Completes corrective and preventive work orders as assigned.

  • Performs minor electrical repairs, installation and maintenance.

  • Test and troubleshoot low voltage systems to identify and resolve any issues.

  • Collaborate with other technicians and contractors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.

  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients.

  • Provide excellent customer service.

  • Responds to emergency situations during and after hours.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with installation and maintenance of electrical systems, fire alarms, and network wiring.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

  • Effective communication and customer service skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Flexible schedule, with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.

  • Ability to operate motor vehicles and power tools safely and effectively .

  • Ability to understand specifications, blueprints, manuals and schematic drawings for installation, maintenance and repair of structures and equipment is preferred.

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Valid Driver's License.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

  • Completion of a vocational or technical program in low voltage systems preferred.
