Director of Training andDevelopment

The Director of Training and Development heads the entire training and development department, and is responsible for the assessment and identification of Ameritel’s training and development needs, ensuring that the company is appropriately aligned with all T-Mobile requirements and that we are in proper compliance as it relates to training. The Director of Training and Development actively searches, creatively designs, and implements effective methods for enhancing performance, and recognizing outstanding performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum creation and development: createcurriculum and design effective training plan for T-Mobile TPR storesnationally with a goal to maximizing performance; create brochures, trainingmaterials, multimedia visual aids, and presentations; utilize existing contentdevelopment process to create tools and new learning solutions.

  • Needs assessment: utilize various methods todetermine strengths and opportunities of current employees, and to identifyknowledge gaps; collaborate with field leadership to ensure training programmeets desired needs of the market and drives revenue

  • Manage training team: provide leadership tonationwide sales team, in the execution of the training program; oversee traditionalInstructor-Led Training (ILT), Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) and On-The-JobTraining (OJT); implement new methods as determined by business needs

  • Strategic Planning: Work collaboratively tooperationalize learning initiatives; identify learning solutions based onfeedback, observations and business performance including training completionreporting

  • Scheduling and Budgeting: create mastertraining calendar that is in partnership with field and training teamexpectations; manage training budget and ensure that training initiatives andoverall program are cost-effective

  • Communication: collaborate with FieldLeadership and communicate the training initiative expectations to SalesTrainers; collect field feedback from Sales Trainers and share insights andlessons learned with key stakeholders, both internal and external; work withleadership to develop reinforcement and sustainment activities for implementationby frontline leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors'degree in a related discipline or work experience equivalent andexperience in Training and Development management of not less than eight (8)years.

  • Previousexperience managing a team of trainers required

  • 5+years professional training experience

  • Ability to establish and present theAmeritel culture.

  • Ability to problem-solve and leveragenegotiation skills to reach sound analytical outcomes with key businesspartners

  • Able to Identify and confirm the specificfactors beyond training that contribute to a change in performance

  • Understanding of performance management andcoaching techniques

  • Strong understanding of Adult LearningPrinciples

Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
