Our most successful Training Managers have a passion for leading, inspiring, and professionally developing others. The Training Manager manages the driver hiring and training program. The Training Manager trains drivers, driver instructors, and/or other location employees concerning driver hiring, safety, and regulatory compliance and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and company policy.

  • Designs and/or delivers training to drivers. Training may include classroom, or behind-the-wheel formats and/or supervising employees engaged in this function.

  • While the focus of the position is on driver hiring and training, the employee may also have other safety program responsibilities (e.g., accident investigation, forms compliance, safety meetings, passenger management, analysis, and reporting)

  • Interviews driver candidates and selects drivers, based on Contract Manager approval and/or supervises employees performing this function.

Qualifications

  • 2 to 3 years experience in the transportation and/or logistics industry, with experience in training and recruiting in these industries a plus!

  • 5 years of training experience

  • Comfortable with general business technology systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Success in this role relies on your ability to effectively and efficiently train new hires on our programs, policies, and procedures.
