Essential Functions. Other Duties as Assigned

Setup

1. Set up and operate a hydraulic Press Brake for fast paced work
2. Select correct tooling for the job task with setup documents or supervisor/lead assistance
3. Load, install and correctly set up the tools required with some assistance from supervisor
4. Understand layout and plans sequence of operations to maximize efficiency of production in terms of time, quality, quantity, resources, and overall costs
5. Review, analyze and understand engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout

Production

1. Keep work area, including machine surfaces clean and organized at all times
2. Prepare and run complex bend set ups and forming
3. Complex programming using all features of the Press Brake, such as but not limited to bending at angles, step bends, proper back gauge transfer between steps and delays
4. Perform assigned work to time standards and quality expectations
5. Account for time and work completed via ERP system
6. Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and completed
7. Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturing issues or seek assistance
8. Report and document basic material, production and quality control
9. Report deficiencies to the maintenance supervisor
10. Participate in equipment preventative maintenance at the operator level
11. Verify conformance of work pieces to specifications, using squares, rulers, and measuring tapes
12. Understand various weld form symbols on blue prints and drawings

Tools and Equipment

1 Set up and operate Press Brake

1. Use overhead crane, forklift, and hoists, to assist in moving materials/projects
2. May operate, grinders, cutting torch, drills, hand tools
3. Properly care for and maintain tools in good operating condition; ensure tools and equipment is properly stored at the end of each shift
