Description

Robert Half is working with a well established company in Chandler to help fill an Accounts Payable Clerk. This role focuses on managing high volume AP operations within a large ERP system, requiring proficiency in Excel. The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely entry of invoices, check requests, and ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process high volume of AP transactions.

• Experience in working with large ERP systems.

• Utilize Excel to maintain and manage financial data.

• Validate invoice header information within the system to ensure accuracy.

• Perform 2-way or 3-way PO match process within the system.

• Communicate effectively with internal and external customers regarding invoice and PO discrepancies.

• Respond to AP requests in a timely manner via email or phone.

• Reconcile supplier statements/accounts, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding supplier credit balances.

• Research and resolve conditions causing invoices on hold.

• Contribute to month-end closing by running necessary reports.

• Proficiency in Oracle and Excel formulas.

Requirements • Must possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) functions

• Demonstrated experience with the Oracle system is required

• Proficient in using Excel Formulas for data analysis and reporting

• Previous experience in the Transport industry is beneficial

• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

• High degree of familiarity with data entry and record keeping

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions

• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is preferred.
