Position: Technology Specialist I

Supervisor:Executive Director of Technology General

Job Description: Serve as Technology Specialist I for the Clovis Municipal Schools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:]{segoe="" ui=""}]{segoe="" ui=""}**

  • Work cooperatively with colleagues, supervisors, and administrators.
  • Demonstrate ethical behavior appropriate to performing and accomplishing assigned duties.
  • Follow District policies and administrative rules and regulations.
  • Know what to do to successfully complete assigned work.
  • Project overall concern for personal appearance as it relates to job performance.
  • Assist in installation and maintenance of computer labs.
  • Assist in installation of District adopted software.
  • Assist in meeting the goals of the District's Technology Plan.
  • Assist in staff development in technology.
  • Assist in repair of Technology equipment.
  • Pick up and deliver various technology related items.
  • Install and maintain equipment related to the job.
  • Serve as liaison for technology assistance.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Other tasks as may be deemed appropriate and necessary by the immediate supervisor and/or Superintendent.
  • Maintain time logs for documentation purposes.
  • Engage in self-development.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
  • Requires a means of transportation for traveling to various work sites in the District.
  • Must demonstrate a working knowledge of computer systems.

Terms of Employment: Salary and work year to be established by the Board.

Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, lifting and carrying (up to 50 pounds), reaching, squatting, climbing, kneeling, fingering or otherwise working with fingers, moving light furniture, moving equipment is required.

Safety and Health: Knowledge of universal hygiene precautions.

Equipment/Material Handled: Must know how to properly operate, or be willing to learn to operate, all multimedia equipment including current technology.

Work Environment: Must be able to work within various degrees of noise, temperature, and air quality. Interruptions of work are routine. Job responsibilities include both inside and outside duties. Flexibility and patience are required. Must be self-motivated and able to complete job assignments. Regular visits to schools are required for maintenance and/or installation purposes. After hours work may be required. Must be able to work under stressful conditions.
