**Hours are 6 p.m.-6:30 a.m. 4 days on and 4 days off. 36-48 hours per week.

The Role:** Perform equipment duties in production according to standard operating procedures. Assist with daily manufacturing facility. Confirm correct materials and appropriate quantities used, report any discrepancies. Maintain records in a facility environment. Tends one or more machine tools, special purpose machines, or industrial robots to machine workpieces to specifications on production basis. Location: Crossville, Tennessee Essential Duties and Responibilities: Lifts workpiece manually and/or secures workpiece in a fixture or loads automatic feeding device.

Starts machine, engages feed, and observes operation to detect malfunctions. If malfunction occurs, stops machine and reports findings to shift leader.

Silences alarms.

Keeps immediate work area clean and free of debris. Cleans machine parts. Machines plastics or other nonmetals.

Tends machines and equipment other than machine tools.

Moves machine controls and guides to adjust machine. Files, sands or shapes machines parts.

Replaces worn machine accessories such as cutting tools and brushes.

Adds coolant to machine reservoir and turns valve to start flow of coolant.

Inspects and measures machined workpieces to verify conformance to specifications and ensure the machine is working properly and efficiently.

Makes minor adjustments or repairs such as restarting process or cleaning away damaged product, containers, and boxes, banding and placing it in the proper receptacle.

Inspects filled containers to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications.

Check boxes for correct boxes, correct selection, correct labels, and piece count.

Monitors feeding of product to conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices, and unloading of packaged product.

Notifies Production Tech 2 of full hoppers needing to be emptied and need of empty hoppers.

Replenishes packaging supplies such as wrapping paper, plastic sheets, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, labels and ribbon.

Takes note of worn machine accessories and notifies Shift Leader.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent

One to three (1-3) months experience

One to two (1-2) years experience preferred
