CBN Secure Technologies Inc Program Manufacturing Specialist in Danville, Virginia

As a Program Manufacturing Specialist in CBN Secure Technologies IN (CBN STI)s Plant Operations group, you will be responsible for developing High Security processes for ID products. This requires a deep understanding and a wide breadth of exposure to the high security printing industry, its suppliers, and government partners. This exposure is created through a possession of intimate knowledge at all levels of Security product development, testing, and manufacturing.

What You Will Do

  • Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of High Security product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators;
  • Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends;
  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout;
  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements;
  • Justification and implementation of prototype manufacturing equipment specifically for High Security product manufacturing;
  • Provide overall management of projects from concept to completion including planning, estimating, engineering, procurement, design review, construction management, and commissioning;
  • Assure product and process quality meets CBNs and Government Partners expectations by designing testing methods; testing finished product and process capabilities;establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes;
  • Maintain product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • University degree in Science or Engineering or an equivalent combination of educations and relevant experience
  • Minimum of 5years of experience in manufacturing/engineering
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and environmental regulations
  • Project Management Experience (PMP is an asset)
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma, FMEA, Lean manufacturing and ISO systems (9001:2000 preferred)
  • Knowledge of other quality management system is desirable.

Technical Skills

  • Digital Image Correlation and computer vision training, validation, and analysis
  • Diode pumped and fiber laser system setup, tuning and deployment
  • Statistical analysis for the definition of product and equipment tolerances
  • Specifying, creating, and modifying a range of equipment system configuration files, databases, job files and report files.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Fluency (verbal and written) in English
  • Ability to work the following shifts:Day shift
  • Ability to travel domestically/internationally approx.2-5 weeks a year

Security Clearance Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance.
