Duties:

  • Assist with the production of foods for catered events according to standards issued by CADI while maintaining a high standard of quality.

  • Assist with the set up and execution of catered events.

  • Fill reports in concerning usage of product in all areas as well as making notes concerning production of foods for said meal.

  • Record internal temperatures for finished food items.

  • Maintain standards of sanitation, safety, and cleanliness at all times.

    Other:

  • Assist in upholding all policies and procedures as instituted by CADI and/or SUNY Delhi.

  • Inform supervisor of any safety issues discovered in the workplace.

  • Maintain good working relationships among employees.

  • Become familiar with the phases of management in a daily working situation

  • May be called upon to perform other duties not specifically described here.

    Job Requirements:

  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule: weekends, overnights, indoor, and outdoor work are a must.

  • Customer service orientated, excellent organizational skills, and strong ability to multitask.

  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills

  • Active listening and effective communication competencies

  • Must have working knowledge of fundamental culinary skills

  • Must be able to follow standardized recipes, resulting in a quality-finished product, as assigned according to specific area

  • Must be knowledgeable in food service safety and sanitation

  • Must possess a positive attitude and practice positive customer service

  • A self-starter with a strong desire to learn.

  • Must enjoy working with a diverse group of people.

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds

  • GPA over a 2.0
