Thomas Reuters General Manager, Small Law Firm (SLF) in Eagan, Minnesota

General Manager, Small Law Firm, reporting into the President of the Legal Professionals segment, will manage a team of approximately 200 individuals (through 4 direct reports) and oversee a business of $75-100M of annual new sales. This leader is responsible for developing and expanding a diverse customer base of small law firms across North America. This person will be a key member of the Global Legal leadership team and will be based in Minneapolis. As a leader in Thomson Reuters, they will also be responsible for developing a team who promotes the company vision for a fully diverse and inclusive workplace. About the Role In this opportunity as General Manager, Small Law Firm, you will: Own top-line metrics (e.g., revenue, sales, retention) through customer engagement while managing costs/expense Champion the integration and utilization of cutting-edge AI technology and pioneering innovative solutions within the industry. Advocate for investment in market needs and for support from internal partner organizations across TR including Commercial Excellence and Order to Cash Define and execute on the sub-segment strategy and growth plan (tied into segment strategy) while meeting or exceeding the annual business plan Visible in the industry with our smallest segment of our legal customer base Effectively oversees a high-volume transactional channel by utilizing advanced sales pipeline analytics and AI-driven tools to ensure optimal performance. Partner closely with product marketing inbound and outbound activities for the sub-segment to help influence the message going to market (i.e., market/customer insight, value proposition, customer segmentation, channel strategy, launch, etc.) Lead and drive customer focused and obsessed teams with market leading NPS & customer retention Drive high performing, engaged workforce and world-class sales talent Meet or exceed sales, revenue, retention and annual expense plan Meet or exceed operational metrics Define strategy and growth plans (aligned to segment) including organic and inorganic growth opportunities Meet or exceed customer focused and experience metrics - NPS, retention, upsell, cross sell Ensure team is operating in an agile manner focused around the customer Work closely with product and marketing teams to synthesize customer needs into high-impact product and services for customers (aligned to segment prioritization) Drive sales talent strategy including having world class talent, high engagement, high performing teams, strategic workforce plan tied to strategy Understand the external trends, opportunities, and market insights About You You're a fit for the role of General Manager, Small Law Firm if your background includes: Skilled at balancing day to day objectives and results and long-term thinking; effective in prioritizing goals Able to influence and work cross functionally to achieve business segment deliverables Inclusive leadership style with a strong track record of recruiting, developing and retaining a high performing sales organization Collaborative, relationship oriented across multiple levels and functions Problem solver and skilled at conflict resolution Customer obsessed and focused Strong, inclusive communicator Agile; ability to deal with high levels of ambiguity; embraces change Decisive especially when not all data is readily available Inspires trust and meaning for the team; purpose driven What's in it For You? The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: KS, MI, MN, NY, VA.The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $264,000 - $396,000. The base compensation range in other locations may vary. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
