The Director of Processes & Systems will make an impact on our business by creating value, driving efficiencies, and leading the evolution of Global Procurement’s processes and systems. They will create an inventory of core processes, systems, and tools currently in use and define a set of prioritized initiatives to streamline and automate said processes. They will also define the Process & Systems team strategy and roadmap aligning to the broader overall Global Procurement strategy. The individual in this role will ensure each prioritized initiative meets business metrics that deliver gains in productivity, compliance and utilization. You will undertake processes that help capture and prioritize all business processes, software, and systems requirements and work collaboratively with stakeholders to prioritize projects, scope requirements, and develop, design, and implement solutions across Source to Contract. The Director will also partner closely with the Mdlz Digital Services team to ensure there’s alignment and support for all agreed-upon initiatives.

How you will contribute

You’ll help create a competitive advantage for Mondelēz International by establishing a winning Process and Strategy team and by creating a vision and strategy for the group. Working with colleagues in Procurement and cross functional areas, you will drive sustainable value by leading the development and maintenance of process mapping for core processes and systems. Continually assess and refine processes and systems to ensure alignment with changing workflows and business requirements. You will recommend and implement updates and changes to processes and systems, and resolve obstacles through influence, collaboration and project management.

The Director and the team will develop resource materials and deliver training that is accessible across Global Procurement. You will also oversee and perform technical evaluations, system implementations and integrations, maintenance activity, and support for Global Procurement processes and systems. The Director will provide leadership and consultation for assigned focusing on business efficiency and system integrity with respect to effectively meet business requirements.

  • Experience with systems like SAP, Coupa, DocuSign required.

  • Must have proven track record of successfully managing projects, people and resources and responsible for developing & implementing process and systems strategies within a global environment.

  • Strategic long-term & short-term thinking, ability to multitask with a sense of urgency.

  • Interface and influence with external resources and internal resources at all levels, highly desired.

  • Ability to utilize critical thinking skills to proactively problem solve including anticipation of issues, determination of solution or resolution, and provide appropriate communication to impacted parties.

  • Ability to understand complex scenarios and dissect the components in order to identify changes required and the impact of those changes.

  • Ability to see conflicting perspectives of an issue and work with competing sides to form a consensus and implement a resolution.

  • Ability to draft and implement policy.

  • Experience in facilitating training.

  • Demonstrated willingness to be adaptable, flexible, and versatile in a dynamic work environment while maintaining effectiveness and efficiency

  • Behave ethically: understand ethical behavior and business practices, and ensure that own behavior and the behavior of others is consistent with these standards and aligns with the values of the company

  • Must be able to communicate effectively, speak, listen and write in a clear, thorough and timely manner using appropriate and effective communication tools and techniques.

  • Must be able to lead and positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of Processes & Strategy.

  • Must be able to make decisions, assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risk, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interest of Processes & Strategy.

  • Must be able to organize by setting priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress toward goals, and track details, data, information and activities.

More about this role

Education / Certifications: Bachelor’s degree with related experience a must. MS/MBA/CPIM a plus.

Job specific requirements: Minimum 10 years quality, sourcing or related/relevant experience within a multi-plant or multi-divisional business, required.

Travel requirements: 5% - 10%
