Universal Health Services Human Resources Generalist in EDINBURG, Texas

Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY:

The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) data entry, new hire functions to include all functions of the onboarding process via ATS (application tracking system) and hiring into the HRIS. Facilitates new hire hospital orientation program: training and development, benefits, compensation, organizational development, and employment. The generalist will also assist in the recruitment arena by developing the packages, helping with job fairs/career fairs, speaking with potential candidates regarding their application status. Responsible for processing and tracking sign on bonus and other monetary incentives. Provides clerical and administrative support to the entire Human Resources department. Maintains personnel records in an established file system.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Require at least one year previous office experience, preferably at the junior Generalist level. Prefer two years of HR office experience or commensurate.

  2. Knowledge of HRIS and ATS required.

  3. Good communication skills, excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask.

  4. Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.

EDUCATION / LICENSURE:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or closely related field required, or three year’s relevant and related work experience plus and associate degree or medical office specialist certification required, or eight year’s relevant and related work experience directly in Human Resources with some generalist work required.
