Job Description

The electrician role will be based in Fontana, CA at our Fontana Veolia Service Center with travel to our Pico Rivera Service Center when necessary. In this role, you will safely provide electrical engineering ability and expertise in combination to working with the facility maintenance team for repairing and preparing mobile membrane equipment, as well as, facility preventative maintenance and projects. As the electrician for the facility and at other site the ideal candidate my demonstrate excellent EHS standards and follows

policies/procedures in order to keep self and others injury free.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs commercial and industrial electrical work to support the facility, field and mobile water treatment equipment operations, refurbishment, and repair.

  • Performs troubleshooting on PLC, ladder logic and control circuits.

  • Installs transformers, control boards, electronic circuits, coils, circuit breakers, voltage regulators switches, fuses, and related electrical equipment

  • Troubleshoots, performs repairs and tests a variety of commercial and industrial electrical and associated water treatment equipment

  • Reviews and interprets electrical blueprints, plans, and schematics and determines material lists and costs as required

  • Install new equipment or re-arranges existing equipment.

  • Performs preventative maintenance activities at the facility or within the ‘Mobile’ fleet, and within facilities

  • Reliable and thorough approach to work.

  • Perform building and ground maintenance

  • Follow good housekeeping practices by keeping maintenance and tool storage area neat and clean as well as timely cleanup of work area after each job is completed.

  • Is available on call for emergency repairs as needed to keep plant and jobsites in good running order.

  • Perform confined space entry in small tanks with 14x18' manways

  • Has experience running schedule 80 PVC pipe

Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma, G.E.D., Home School Certification, or international equivalent to High School Diploma

  • Minimum of 5 year of Pipe fitting or plumbing experience

  • Minimum of 5 years mechanical repair and maintenance experience or training

Knowledge, Skills Abilities (List out required and preferred skills as applicable)

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently within project teams

  • Ability and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting, climbing, working at elevated heights, and manual dexterity

  • Ability and willingness to work confined space entry

  • Ability and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities

  • Ability and willingness to read documents and implement such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Ability and willingness for on call status for emergency response

  • Ability and willingness to travel for install and repair if needed

  • Ability and willingness to travel where needed.

  • Computer proficient (SAP, Google/Windows Suite a plus)  Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Proven problem-solving skills and critical thinking

Desires

  • 5 year of repair and maintenance work experience.

  • PLC Experience -Programming and Ladder Logic a plus

  • Reverse osmosis equipment troubleshoots and repair experience.

  • Working Conditions (Specify % of travel involved if applicable, physical conditions, interaction with any hazardous material, work environment, etc.)

  • 10% – 30% Travel

  • Working at the Pico Rivera Service Center (as needed)

  • Environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities

Salary Range: $33.17 - $43.47
