UCHealth Manager Pharmacy - Outpatient/Retail in Fort Collins, Colorado

Location: Poudre Valley Hospital, US:CO:Fort Collins (will travel to multiple outpatient pharmacies in Northern Colorado)

Department: SYS Regional Pharmacy Support

FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $63.32 - $101.31 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited school of Pharmacy.

  • State licensure as a Pharmacist.

  • 3 years of post-graduate experience.

Summary:

The Manager will be managing the retail/outpatient pharmacies at Poudre Valley Hospital, Medical Center of the Rockies, Greeley Hospital, Harmony Campus.

The pharmacist Manager is responsible for the management and supervision of the daily activities of the staff for activities and processes designed to provide efficient medication distribution, customer service, and appropriate clinical services. Managerial activities include the review and prioritization of daily workload, serving as the primary resource for staff on clinical and administrative issues, and coordination of pharmacy functions with other departments/sections to ensure optimal patient care and interdepartmental communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures appropriate training, education, and competency of pharmacy staff. Recruits, hires, supervises, and evaluates pharmacy staff. Ensures compliance with all Federal and State regulations, and departmental policies. Develops and implements sustainable policies and procedures, provides oversight of payroll and scheduling, and provides staffing support as necessary.

  • Actively identifies problems and opportunities for improvement; identifies appropriate solution and involves others in the implementation process. Recognizes positive behavior and contributions to the organization using praise, appreciation.

  • Identifies training and staff development needs of employees and ensures appropriate training provided and competency is maintained.

  • Ensures all legal and professional pharmacy requirements are adhered to and appropriate documentation is maintained.

  • Ensures the pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations, company policies and standards. Responsible for establishing procedures that promote the efficient workflow of the pharmacy including overseeing the staff scheduling, assigning roles, coordinating activities, and soliciting team member suggestions.
