Summary:

Troubleshoot robotic systems, using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, electronics, circuit analysis, mechanics, sensor or feedback systems, hydraulics, or pneumatics. Determine causes of operational problems or failures.

Disassemble and reassemble robots, mechanical equipment, or peripheral equipment to make repairs such as replacement of defective circuit boards, sensors, controllers, encoders, and servomotors. Assemble equipment or components.

Specific Duties:

  • Maintain electrical equipment.

  • Perform preventive or corrective maintenance on robotic systems or components. Maintain electromechanical equipment.

  • Maintain service records of robotic equipment or automated production systems. Maintain operational records or records systems.

  • Install, program, or repair programmable controllers, robot controllers, end-of-arm tools, or conveyors. Program robotic equipment, and maintain electromechanical equipment.

  • Develop robotic path motions to maximize efficiency, safety, and quality. Program robotic equipment.

  • Must furnish all tools to efficiently perform job duties.

  • Required to exercise reasonable attention, care and judgment in the performance of assigned duties to prevent personal injury to themselves or others or damage to equipment and/or tooling.

  • Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify the cause of errors or other problems or defects. Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.

  • Responsible for working knowledge of plant facilities.

  • Able to perform other duties assigned by their supervisor.

  • Responsible for housekeeping of work area.

  • Utilize methods for continuous improvements and preventive maintenance while encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.

  • All team members have the right and responsibility to shut down production in the event of Safety or Quality issue.
