POSITION SUMMARY The Associate Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness and Strategic Analytics (AVP) serves as the college\'s Chief Data Officer and Accreditation Liaison Officer. This new position is part of a college-wide restructuring to strengthen NWTC\'s capacity to align institutional research with strategic planning, accreditation, and institutional effectiveness. The AVP serves as a key leader in advancing an environment that uses research and data analysis to guide planning, decision making, and institutional strategy. The AVP will foster an institutional culture of data and assessment that advances academic excellence, student success and equity, and institutional success. NWTC is an Achieving the Dream (ATD) \"College of Distinction,\" winner of the Leah Meyer Austin award, and an Aspen Prize semifinalist. The AVP will serve as the college lead for national memberships and initiatives, including ATD. The AVP is an advisor to the President, a member of the Strategy and Innovation team, and a member of the Leadership Council. Essential Functions Statement(s) Lead and manage the Office of Institutional Research, Effectiveness, and Accreditation. Provide data-informed analyses to the president and other executive leaders. Develop post-graduation student success measures for employment and university transfer. Support the college\'s Strategic Enrollment Management plans, including projections and modeling that maximize resources. Provide strategic leadership to the college\'s data-informed initiatives. Analyze and interpret data to produce reports, fact sheets, visuals, dashboards, etc. Oversee all state and federal reporting. Coordinate institutional surveys, including results, action plans, and progress toward improvements. Serve as the Accreditation Liaison Officer with the Higher Learning Commission, leading all aspects of accreditation and assessment. Support department- and division-level data needs with dashboards, automated reports, etc. Work with academic leaders and faculty on using data and assessment practices to improve student success and close gaps in student outcomes. Work closely with Academic and Student Affairs leaders to assess Guided Pathways, academic program mix, new program onboarding, etc. Develop operational strategies to improve internal processes, communication, and overall effectiveness. Develop college policies and procedures for student data, institutional effectiveness, and compliance. Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Strong analytical skills experience using quantitative and qualitative research methodologies. Higher education that includes direct experience in accreditation, assessment, and institutional resear h. Minimum of five years of leadership experience. Experience using data and research to inform institutional decisions. Demonstrated experience communicating effectively with data visualization and data analysis. Preferred Qualifications A Doctorate degree Experience with Guided Pathways and program review. Current knowledge of higher education policies, issues, regulations, and reporting systems. Demonstrated experience in data analysis and management tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and SPSS. Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite; Database management experience in financial reporting systems Other Requirements Strong facilitation and presentation skills, customer service, organizational, planning, time management, analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work; analyze information, resolve problems, and make recommendations.
