MAG DevOps Engineer in Hanover, Maryland

Position Summary

MAG IS OFFERING UP TO A 10k SIGN-ON BONUS FOR QUALIFIED CANDIDATES!

MAG Aerospace is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer who will provide support to Product Manager Information Warfare Cyber Infrastructure (PdM IWCI) in the areas of automation design, coding, and deployment of infrastructure within an AWS Environment.

This is an opportunity to be involved in the newly formed PM Cyber & Space and be a part of the rapidly growing Cyber Development Product Office responsible for key capabilities within the offensive cyber operations world.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Primary responsibilities include developing Continuous Integration / Continuous Development (CI/CD) pipelines, instrumenting code to report relevant metrics, building safe and efficient build processes, and creating and maintaining automated microservice deployments to AWS (GovCloud/IL–5) environment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks.

  • Support the DevOps pipeline to automate deployments to production.

  • Participates in planning, coordinating, scheduling, and directing technical support activities applicable to the migration of DevSecOps pipelines and microservices onto AWS.

  • Works closely with developers, testers, and system administrators to ensure the entire software development life cycle is smooth, efficient, and error-free.

  • Participates in government oversight of contractor software development activities to include as a supporting team member in agile development paradigm activities (e.g., scrums, sprint reviews).

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience in implementing Agile and DevSecOps methodologies with a passion for agile. principles and best practices (Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming, Scaled Agile Framework).

  • Demonstrates strong sense of ownership and operates in a collaborative manner.

  • Proven experience with CI/CD processes and tools (e.g., Git and Jenkins).

  • Experience with security testing tools and techniques (e.g., SAST, DAST, IAST, RASP).

  • Experience with microservices and Docker containerization.

  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks, such as Ansible, Terraform and Puppet.

  • Experience coding and scripting with common languages such as Python, Linux Shell (Bash/Bourne/etc), and Java.

Experience

  • Must have 5 years of direct experience with software development.

  • Must have 2 years of experience managing software development teams.

  • Must have 2 years in cyber or C4ISR systems.

Clearance

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Information Technology with 9 years experience; or

  • Master’s Degree and four (4) additional years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education level; 8 years of additional experience if no degree.

  • Certification in AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional or similar AWS certification.

Other Qualifications

  • Ability to work in an office/field/lab environment

  • Ability to travel 25%
