**AIDE/FLOATER JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose of the Position: The Aide (Floater) is responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate preschool program in accordance with all A Place to Grow policies and procedures.

Responsibilities: Aid in teaching a class of up to 20 children daily Assist in classroom care, organization, and cleaning Perform duties where additional coverage is needed (eg - line walking, restroom, playground supervision, diapering, crafting) Teamwork with all co-teachers to safely implement all routines, activities, and operations Greet families during both arrival and departure times at the Entrance Door Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment Substitute as needed in the classroom Attend staff meetings and training as necessary, in accordance with Employee Agreement Supervise children in accordance with all policies and procedures Special duties as assigned by Director, Site Supervisor, and Assistant/Lead Teacher Perform other related duties as required; also, reference Employment Agreement and Employee Handbook Qualifications: Working Conditions: Be able to: lift up to 50 pounds; frequently sit and stoop; stand and walk for long periods of time; clean and maintain physical facility; frequently bend and reach Able to handle loud noises and multiple situations happening at once; not suffering from any physical or mental impairment that would interfere with the ability to adequately perform the job duties of caring for and supervising the children enrolled in our preschool. **
