JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE

Perform radiological surveys on the primary, secondary, auxiliary systems, plant buildings and grounds.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide contamination and dose control. Maintain the Radiation Work Permit Program.

  • Track radiation exposure for personnel and work tasks. Determine methods to reduce radiation exposure.

  • Provide radiation protection coverage for work tasks. Establish worker stay times.

  • Establish radiological work requirements. Maintain laboratory quality control. Perform instrument calibration and operation. Respond to off normal conditions.

  • Maintain radiation exposures ALARA. Maintain radiation exposures within limits. Maintain respiratory protection program.

  • Radiologically post the power plant. Respond to off normal radiological conditions. Understand adverse radiological conditions on equipment and personnel performance. Serve as a member of the Emergency Response Organization.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Minimum experience required of the position

  • Technician I: 0 - 2 years commercial nuclear experience. Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operations.

  • Technician II: 2 - 4 years commercial nuclear experience. Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operations.

  • Technician III: 4 - 6 years commercial nuclear experience. Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operations.

  • Senior Technician: 6 years commercial nuclear experience. Technical understanding of nuclear generation principles and operations. At least 2 years experience at the facility. Outstanding communication and conflict management skills. Proficiency with current computer business applications.

Desired Qualificaitons:

Asset Suite, Sentinel and P6 software experience highly desired.

  • Successful completion of the EEI TECH test

EEI Testing:

One way that Entergy has found to identify and assess the abilities and skills needed for certain jobs is through pre-employment testing. If this position does require an EEI test, the type of test will be located under the qualifications section of the job posting.
