Position Purpose:

All KHI employees are expected to perform their respective tasks and duties in such a way that supports KHIs vision of providing the regions best clinical care and patient service through an environment that fosters respect for others and pride in performance.

The Lifeguard ensures the safety of the facility patrons by preventing and responding to emergencies.

Key Responsibilities

General supervision of all activity in pool areas.

Maintain a safe environment in pool areas and enforce all pool rules, regulations, and policies.

General cleaning/maintenance of aquatics area.

Monitor quality of water in pool, spa, and therapy pool.

Have a working knowledge of pool, spa, and therapy pool equipment and chemicals.

Be knowledgeable of all pool programs and events.

Demonstrate excellent customer service.

Complete records and reports.

Participate in in-service trainings.

Recognize and respond effectively to emergencies.

Report any irregularities to Aquatics Manager, Director, and/or Manager.

Demonstrate ability to supervise and control all activity in the pool area so that a safe environment is maintained.

Other duties as assigned.
