What Will You Do: As a Line Cook Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers have a delightful dining experience. Your responsibilities will include: + Prepare ingredients needed for cooking, including washing, chopping, slicing, and measuring. + Preparing and serving food items according to established recipes and presentation standards; This may involve grilling, sautéing, frying, baking, or other cooking methods. + Taking customer orders and accurately preparing on the grill. + Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. + Maintain high standards of food quality by inspecting ingredients for freshness and proper storage, monitoring cooking temperatures, and ensuring that finished dishes meet Five Star's quality standards. + Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels of food supplies, informing supervisors when stock is running low or ingredients are needed. + Assist with incoming deliveries and help to put items away. + Adhere to proper food safety and sanitation procedures, including cleaning and sanitizing workstations, equipment, and utensils. Who We're looking for: + Previous experience in a food service or restaurant environment with grill/line cook experience is preferred. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously. General Requirements: + Lift and carry 50lbs+ on a repetitive basis, with the ability to reach, bend, and stoop frequently. + Consent to a pre-employment background check and drug screen. + Follow workplace safety policies and guidelines.
