Robert Half HR Generalist in Las Vegas, Nevada

Description

We are seeking a HR Generalist based in Las Vegas, Nevada, to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing various human resources programs and policies, including but not limited to recruitment, training and development, payroll and compensation, benefits administration, performance management, and employee relations. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer and execute human resource programs including compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, reviewing policies and practices to maintain compliance.

  • Stay updated with trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

  • Administer benefits, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefits information to employees.

  • Maintain human resource information system (HRIS) records and compile reports from the database.

  • Lead HR programs and company-wide initiatives, such as employee engagement and recognition activities.

  • Participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

  • Manage employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

  • Handle confidential information securely and ethically.

    Requirements

  • Proven experience in a HR Generalist role or similar.

  • Strong understanding and practical experience with HR processes and procedures.

  • Proficient in handling Benefit Functions.

  • Demonstrated ability in managing Employee Relations.

  • Familiarity with UKG Ready software is high preferred.

  • Proven track record in Recruiting and Onboarding processes.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

  • Relevant certification or degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred.
