Applewood Centers MRSS (Mobile Response Stabilization Services) Shift Supervisor in Lorain, Ohio

Applewood Centers is a premier provider of community-based behavioral health services in Northeast Ohio. Applewood is seeking dynamic and dedicated individuals who want to grow their behavioral health careers and become part of an amazing team of professionals serving others. We are currently hiring a Clinical Shift Supervisor to serve youth (age 2-20) and families who call the crisis hotline with a family identified emergency.

Position Summary: As the licensed shift supervisor on our Mobile Response Stabilization team, under the supervision of the Program Manager, this position will take and assign crisis calls from the 24/7 hotline to have clinicians respond face to face (in person or via video conferencing) to high risk crisis situations within an hour to assess the youth and stabilize the family. We are looking to hire for our 12p- 8:30a or 3:30p-12a shifts!

Responsibilities Include: This role will assist staff in clinical supervision and manage program needs including scheduling, programming, and administration in order to maintain effective therapeutic programming on that shift as well as manage agency required documents and reporting systems. When necessary, this role may also need to effectively perform the duties of a Crisis Therapist in the community. There is no productivity expectation due to relying on crisis calls to be placed by the community. Varied shifts available to meet 24/7 programming.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling; LSW or LPC required, LISW or LPCC preferred.

  • Experience in mental health practice including management of high risk cases.

  • A valid driver's license, vehicle and auto insurance coverage

  • Minimum of two years of experience working with youth and families in a mental health setting. Knowledge of the DSM-5 and diagnostic criteria. Experience with family systems and crisis intervention preferred.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to work cooperatively as a team as well as independently, experience working with electronic medical records and ability to work effectively with diverse populations with complex psychiatric needs.
