Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Technology / Assurance Specialist to join our team in the Los Angeles, CA area.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

The primary function of the information Technology / assurance Specialist is to work with Special Access Programs (SAPs) supporting SMC Directorates and/or AFSPC Operational Units. The position will provide “day-to-day” support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.

  • Establish complex operational software configuration controls and system interfaces for assigned computer system(s)

  • Maintain file servers, Firewalls, network access, Security Monitoring Systems and system documentation as required

  • Analyze and troubleshoot system anomalies to ensure optimum equipment performance

  • Review, prepare, and update AIS accreditation package and perform AIS self-inspections

  • Provide security coordination and review of all system test plans

  • Identify AIS vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures

  • Ensure AIS and network nodes are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices

  • Perform VTC System Administration, Scheduling, & Configuration

  • Perform Hardware/Software System Configuration, upgrades and modifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university; four (4) additional years of experience may be accepted in leu of degree

  • 5+ years total related experience, including a minimum of three (3) years of relevant SCI or SAP experience

  • Experience with PL1 & PL2 systems

  • Must possess or obtain a DoD approved 8570 Baseline IAT Level 2 certification within 6 months of hire date.

  • Must complete training on Joint Security Implementation Guidance (JSIG), Risk Management Framework (RMF), and Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) within 6 months of hire date (if supported organization requires development of AIS accreditation packages).

  • Applicable Windows professional certifications, based on OS requirements for supported organization

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2000/2003/2007 Server, Microsoft Exchange Server 2003, Microsoft Windows XP/Vista operating systems (OS) administration and associated hardware

  • Working knowledge of Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies and data backup technologies to include communication security (COMSEC) integration

  • Working knowledge of JAFAN 6/0, DCID/JAFAN 6/3, DCID/JAFAN 6/9, and Joint DODIIS/Cryptologic SCI Information Systems Security Standards, Common Criteria, and System Security Policy as they relate to C&A for Legacy systems

  • Must be familiar with security policy/manuals and the appropriate ICDs/JAFANs/DOD Manuals and other guiding policy documents

  • Must be willing to travel within the organizational Area of Responsibility (AOR) (note - could be extensive, and will include both air and ground transportation)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of SAP-related experience highly desired

  • Experience with PL3 & PL4 cross domain solutions desired

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must possess a current active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.

  • Must submit to a Counterintelligence Polygraph for eligibility to access Special Access Program information

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer

The projected compensation range for this position is $109,100-$181,100. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
