This position is responsible for coordinating appropriate academic support services for accepted McNair Scholars. This includes hiring and supervising tutors, as well as providing writing instruction to help students improve their ability to write with clear purpose and focus, and to develop writing skills related to audience, organization, genre, style, and professional editing. • Requires a bachelor\'s degree and one year of relevant experience.
• This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager.

\ Preferred Qualifications:

• Master\'s degree in English or other writing-intensive field
• Experience teaching or tutoring writing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in diverse genres
• Experience working with diverse populations from varied socioeconomic backgrounds
• Experience working with students in higher education
