Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for various moderately complex financial functions such as budgeting, auditing, forecasting and analysis

  • Collect and review financial data from various sources

  • Create, maintain, and update financial databases and spreadsheets, and generate various financial reports as required.

  • Maintain appropriate records and documentation

  • Make recommendations to management to improve the financial performance of the organization. Respond to rate and budget questions and provide explanations to ensure management understanding

  • Identify and resolve moderately complex problems as well as to prevent future problems

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as DAR, FAR, and other government regulations

  • Participate in audits and interface with government auditors to ensure understanding of financial data, methodology and applicability under appropriate government regulations

  • Interface with internal departments and the DCAA in moderately complex auditing assignments

  • Participate in team efforts to improve functioning of the department

  • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization

  • Responsible for the overall management of a financial analysis function (i.e., budgeting, auditing, forecasting and analysis) for a substantially large/complex project or organizational unit

  • Forecast budgets, employment levels, and performance metrics for project or department

  • Develop project timelines and department objectives in consultation with senior management

  • Recommend new methods and processes related to the financial analysis function and presents to senior management

  • Responsible for the employment, training, motivation and discipline of the management team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance with 2+ years of directly related experience including a thorough knowledge of DAR/FAR and other applicable government regulations (or equivalent combination of education/training and experience)
