Job Description: Manager, Unscripted Production

Role summary:

The Unscripted Production Manager will oversee and follow up the internal and operational processes of production. This role will budget the different type of unscripted formats, the position will collaborate with the structure of all projects from a creative and production perspective must have ample experience in the creation and production of Unscripted Formats.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Make the budgets for different type of unscripted formats

  • Maintain and supervise the department schedule and budget, making sure target dates.

  • Monitoring and Supervision of Unscripted Productions according to the Sony´s processes Support Unscripted department designing process and production strategy.

  • Work hand in hand with the production crews in the different Unscripted Shows.

  • On-going search of new talent, both for production, directing and writing that effectively covers the needs of the Unscripted Area.

  • Work in collaboration with the Unscripted department for building the structure of the projects from a creative and production perspective from their inception, writing, production, and sale, until the process of the final delivery to the client.

  • Identify the characteristics and key elements of the genre that are currently dominating the market.

  • Understand audience’s consumer behaviors and needs in regard to the genre, in order to evaluate and determine possible future developments and productions.

  • Come up with ideas for Unscripted development projects.

  • Continuous search of new projects and ideas that match the requirements of the genre.

  • Take responsibility and creative input during the development of material for the projects that so require it.

  • Ensure proper preparation for all meetings and reviews.

  • Take thorough notes and distribute.

  • Work with the Department Head on delegating assignments and deliveries.

  • Performs other related tasks as required.

Preferred Education:

  • BA or BS degree in Communication, Production or related area;

Knowledge:

  • Languages: Advanced / Fluent in English.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years TV Production

  • Movie Magic

  • Advanced level -Microsoft office, Excel & Word

  • Adobe graphic design package

Skills:

  • Organizational skills, time management

  • Creative thinking

  • Analytic Thinking, Ability to identify production issues and to find out accurate solutions.

  • Communication skills, effective communication, assertiveness, active listening, empathetic.

  • Oriented to the action and results.

  • Work under pressure.
