SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF POSITION:To give hands on oversight and administration of the Niagara Falls Summer Fun program and Youth Works program.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

• Must be 18 years old or older• Design program schedule and activities, develop policies and procedures, prepareand keep updated enrollment forms, attendance sheets, etc.• Maintain all child records and statistical forms• Enroll children and maintain current and accurate files on children• Lead children in craft, educational, recreational and spiritual activities.• Provide supervision to children on and off premises as needed.• Receive and dismiss children daily in designated areas.• Maintain a safe environment for program.• Supervise meal distribution.• Supervise Youth Works volunteers.• Act as a mediator and role model in helping children learn self control and problem solving.• Participate in all other duties and activities as assigned by the Corps Officer.

Qualifications

SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

• High School Diploma / GED• Desire and ability to work in a team environment• Desire and ability to work with children• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents and volunteers• Ability to lead and teach activities• Energetic, sense of humor, patience and self-control• Safety oriented at all times
