BrightStar Care Homecare Nurse Supervisor in Olathe, Kansas

Traditional schedule of Mon-Fri 8AM-430PM, weekends not required but as needed to maintain continuity of care, will rotate weekly on-call with admin team! You will office out of the BrightStar Care office in Olathe, KS during the times not scheduled to see clients and/or employees. The Nurse Case Manager will report to the Branch Manager and assist with managing all in-home care clients and supervising field staff. The Nurse Manager would have a direct report for a field team of over 120 active employees. This is a unique opportunity to help grow a business with an emphasis on a higher standard of patient care. We strive to provide best-in-class benefits packages, including: * 401 K match after 6-months of employment * Paid time off * Extra Paid Day off for your birthday! * Health Insurance * Supplemental health insurance through Encompassing Health * Mileage Reimbursement for business related travel * Free training and continued education * Weekly pay w/ direct deposit Responsibilities: * Provides care as defined within the scope of the state’s nurse practice act * Makes the initial evaluation visit, creates the plan of care/treatment and regularly reevaluates the client’s needs * Acts as a point of contact for clients/families for questions regarding their clinical care * Develops, recommends, and administers agency policies and procedures and plays a primary role during Joint Commission surveys * Supervises, educates, and coaches personnel/care-giving staff * Participates in performance evaluations and disciplinary action meetings for personnel/care-giving staff with Branch Manager * Performs in person and over the phone supervisory visits on personnel/care-giving staff * Plans and implements in-service and training programs * Oversees the maintenance of client records for purposes of evaluation and reporting of organization compliance activities * Assures proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state, and federal laws. * Promotes home care referrals in the health care community * Participates in weekly on-call schedule (approx. 1 night/week or less) Requirements: * Current unrestricted KS and MO RN license * Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing * Negative TB test within last 30 days * Reliable car/auto insurance. * Clean background and criminal record * Adhere to HIPAA and maintain client confidentiality * Demonstrated ability to supervise and direct staff * Possess exceptional nursing assessment skills * Comply with accepted professional standards of practice * Excellent customer service skills and ability to deal tactfully with clients, staff and community * Excellent electronic documentation skills * Current influenza vaccination * Must have received and have proof of COVID-19 vaccination, or be willing to receive COVID-19 vaccination.
