Health Specialist

Head Start (https://ofoinc.org/find-program/home-based-and-preschool-programs) is seeking a highly qualified health professional to oversee Head Start and Early Head Start health program components.

As Health Specialist you will:

• Develop, update, and implement service area plans, policies and procedures

• Ensure that the Health and Mental Health programs are in compliance with Head Start and Early Head Start performance standards, licensing requirements, and contracts

• Train and advise managers and employees on health care requirements

• Supervise Mental Health Coordinator and Health Consultant

  Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in health, nutrition, or a related field; LPN (RN certification preferred); two years’ experience in public health or early childhood development; valid New York State driver’s license.

Pay Range Guide:

• Standard Start Rate - education and experience meet job requirements

• Advanced Start Rate - education and experience exceed job requirements (subject to approval)
