Ideal candidate: Has a proven, strong mechanical aptitude;

Has excellent working knowledge of machinery; hydraulic, electrical and other systems and components;

Can read and understand machine blueprints, technical instructions, and electrical schematics;

Has data entry experience and basic math skills; Has a positive attitude;

Enjoys problem-solving and works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment;

Is self-directed, with time management and organizational skills;

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Become an expert in the function, troubleshooting and repair of all machinery and equipment;

Follow and/or develop diagnostic protocols; dismantle and repair; replace defective parts, etc.;

Provide technical support and answer operator questions;

Follow all lock-out tag-out procedures during machine maintenance;

Follow and complete the preventative maintenance schedule;

Train operators and plant employees on routine preventative maintenance;

Prepare maintenance reports and documentation as needed;

Maintain organized inventory of machine parts and repair tools;

Actively take part in continuous improvement measures, kanbans and SMED events;

Collaborate with Production Leadership and Design-Engineering team to create machine solutions to manufacturing challenges;

Maintain a safe and clean work environment;

Understand company Quality Management System and adhere to policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent minimal; associates or technical certification preferred;

3+ yrs. Mechanic experience, manufacturing environment preferred;

Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word;

Must be able to lift 50lbs;

Able to stand for duration of shift
