Our Opportunity
North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Production Control Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will plan, direct, and manage all Production Control functions and personnel in the plant, ensuring the efficient and timely flow of materials and parts between or within departments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Your Priorities
Supervises, establishes, and coordinates the production schedules within the plant, including purchased material and manufactured parts, based on customer requirements and forecast.
Maintains required Kanban card level within production system to meet production schedule.
Acts to eliminate delays and ensures adherence to production and shipping requirements.
Works closely with the Purchasing Department to ensure proper flow of purchased material.
Maintains and monitors inventory levels, turns, and accuracy.
Ensures effective support of production, shipping, customer service, and engineering, as needed.
Requirements
Your Background
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Manufacturing, or a related discipline, plus 8 - 10 years of experience in production control—including:
3 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
Experience working in a JIT manufacturing environment utilizing Kanban.
Continuous improvement or Kaizen experience.
APICS Certification is preferred.
