SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - Construction Company in the Peachtree Corners Area

Do you have an accounting background and a desire to join a Construction/Contractor firm? Robert Half could have the Senior Accountant role for you! You will be responsible for preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, creating budgets and forecasts, preparing audits, and managing internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates will need excellent analytical skills and an ability to keep up in a fast-paced workspace. This Senior Accountant role is located in Peachtree Corners, Georgia within the Construction/Contractor field. How you will make an impact

• Full Charge General Ledger and monthly closing process

• Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP

• Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Assist with monthly Bank reconciliations for numerous accounts

• Update & prepare monthly financial reporting – Ensure completeness & accuracy

• Manage intercompany accounting

• Job Costing and Review

• AIA reconciliation

• Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

• Assemble monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

• Engage in various department-wide initiatives

• Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary

• Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

• Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary

  Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business related field of study

• 2+ years of experience in construction preferred

• Organizational, quantitative and strong analytical skills

• Attention to detail, reliable and consistent work ethic

• Understanding of GAAP accounting and strong general ledger background

• Ability to approach work challenges logically and pursue continuous improvement initiatives

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to operate in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment with shifting priorities

• Ability to multi-task and prioritize daily, weekly and monthly tasks to meet deadlines timely

• Strong working knowledge of Excel and Sage 300 preferred
