About You and this role

Dowhas an exciting and challenging opportunity for aSenior Technology Managerwith the preferredlocations ofPlaquemine, LA or Hahnville, LA. Any Texas Dow site will be considered as well. The successful candidate will be recognized within the business as the technical expert. As the process technology expert, you collect and analyze plant data, coach, participate in problem solving and troubleshooting, and lead the effort to identify, develop, and leverage Most Effective Technology (MET).

Responsibilities

  • Leads Ethylene Oxide (EO) process technology improvements in a global process technology organization aligned with a Business, such that long-term value is created for the Business(es). Provides leadership in translating Business strategy to technology needs, by providing a vision for the technology, leveraging global technical resources and knowledge in implementing improvements, protecting Dow technology, and licensing.

  • Provides leadership for definition of Global and Plant Specific Technology Plans and Most Effective Technology (MET).

  • Provides global technical direction for the technology.

  • Participates as member of Technology Leadership Group leading long range/breakthrough thinking.

  • Develops/facilitates/insures global technology plan aligns to business strategy.

  • Provides direction for all technology resources for the business(es).

  • Understands, integrates, and leverages various global technology and functional work processes.

  • Acts in a people development capacity providing direction for goals/plans, coaching and feedback.

  • Maintains implementation of technology expectations through effective project stage gate review process.

  • Leads and provides direction for licensing and competitive intelligence.

  • Leverages technology innovations and MET across other businesses to add value.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in engineering (chemical engineering preferred) or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant (PO2/Sgt) Military ranking is required.

  • At least 7 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing or related is required.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
