M790 - 1 The Packaging Tech I position is a minimum 12 month training position. The incumbent is trained on the cleaning, set-up and operation of a variety of automated high speed pharmaceutical packaging equipment in accordance with Upsher-Smith's high standards of quality as well as maintaining full compliance with cGMP, record keeping, SOP and OSHA requirements. The Packaging Tech I must demonstrate necessary skill development and training qualifications to transition into a Packaging Tech II position within a 12 month training period. Receives hands-on training to independently monitor and execute packaging line operations, processes and procedures. Receives training to independently perform machine set up, operations, tooling changes, adjustments and troubleshooting related to the operation of one or more packaging lines. Receives training and performs required duties to maintain appropriate quality and production documentation. Responsible for the review of all assigned batch record documentation to ensure error free work. With guidance, performs general, light maintenance and troubleshooting of machines and related equipment. Ensures a safe work environment and that team members are performing job duties in accordance with all safety requirements and guidelines. Demonstrates and works in accordance with Corporate Values. Demonstrates the ability to promote these values to Packaging team members. High school diploma or equivalent required.
