Your Role At Baxter In this role, the Sr. Principal Engineer will be responsible for developing and supporting the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) strategy and processes to support product development. This individual will help support PLM tools and solutions for legacy and new product development projects. What you'll be doing Define requirements and evaluate solutions for lifecycle management solutions Ensure PLM needs capture Product Requirements management, Traceability, DHF structure & maintenance, Product Risk management, System integration, Verification & Validation, manufacturing and servicing of medical devices Implement the selected lifecycle management solution across new products as well as transfer legacy products into the new system Provide technical input and build strategic plans Lead multi-functional team to develop PLM processes to support all phases of product development Optimally support team members in the creation and implementation of development plans; foster development by providing appropriate challenges for team members Contributes as an expert within area of systems engineering Incorporate knowledge of customer use and product design to select appropriate solutions Identify and resolve issues that may jeopardize project schedules or improve project time Resolve competing constraints between interrelated functions (engineering, manufacturing, regulatory, marketing, etc.) required to deliver solutions Provide leadership to team members, guiding them in terms of prioritization, problem resolution, process clarifications What you'll bring A demonstrated track record in medical device product development Experience implementing DHFs and BOMs in lifecycle management solutions Experience in Product Design Owner and/or Lead System Designer roles Demonstrated facilitation and negotiation skills in driving closure on product/program-related decisions/issues In depth knowledge of the regulatory environment for Design, Develop and Manufacture of Medical products Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Success in working with multifunctional, global teams Education and Experience: Bachelors/Master's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent Minimum of 7+ years' experience in product development or related field, in the pharmaceutical and medical products industry Familiarity with ISO, FDA and other regulatory standards Demonstrated experience working with vendors with different models of engagement Baxter is committed to supporting the needs for flexibility in the workplace. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $112,000 to $154,000 nnually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
