Our client, a leader in their manufacturing industry, is looking to add multiple machinists to their operations. They have openings on 2nd and 3rd shift with the operation of running multiple machines. We are looking for individuals who have experience operating CNC Mills and Lathes or similar machinery. These positions are long term/permanent job openings due to increases in business.

Description:

Responsible for working and coordinating with the operating crew while simultaneously operating mill to produce high-quality, in specification products per the daily production schedule and while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Receive verbal and/or written instructions from the Plant Manager or Production Supervisor Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.

• Work from rolling schedules to ensure that proper size, grade, gauge, and length material is being processed

• Operate, coordinate, and assist in ensuring that the mill is producing a product that is in specification per the daily production schedule

• Oversee and coordinate the efforts of the mill operating crew to perform specific job duties

• Check and adjust rolls and welding power to ensure that proper weld integrity is maintained

• Coordinate and assist in the performance of mill changeovers

• Adjust for roll marks and pick up as required

• Set up and perform I.D. flash removal as required

• Fill out all operating reports and mill set up sheets

• Perform daily crane/hi-lo inspections and report any deficiencies

• Operate overhead crane and hi-lo as required

• Perform minor maintenance and assist maintenance personnel in making repairs to equipment

• Report any irregularities or malfunctions to managers and/or maintenance.

• Assist other operators in the facility when required during breakdowns, bottlenecks, and scheduled downtime

• Regular, full-time, predictable onsite attendance per the posted schedule is an essential function of this role

• Maintain a clean and safe work area

• Other duties as required

• Previous Mill machine experience

• Measuring equipment

Medium work: exerting up to 50 lbs of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 lbs frequently
