Job Summary:

The Production Operator conducts the operation of various types of machinery within Production. This position will set up machinery for operation and adjust the machinery when necessary to improve performance. Duties performed are also associated with Formulation, Multivac, Utility and various key components of production.

Schedule -- Monday through Friday, Schedule may need to include overtime and Saturday or Sunday production.

Benefits -- Medical, dental and vision; STD, LTD and Life company paid; 401k with company match. Employee pays only 15% of medical cost at $16.47/week for Single and $49.41/week for Family coverage (2024 Rates). Company contributes HSA dollars annually of $1,000 for a Single and $2,000 for a Family.

Essential Job Functions: (Essential functions may include, but are not limited to the functions listed below)

• Job knowledge of all production work locations
• Fill out Pre-Safety Sheet
• Place Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P) at workstation storage location
• Remove foreign material, rotten, broken produce, and bloaters at the inspection line.
• Able to Operate H.M.I touch screens
• Ability to problem solve issues on the production line and elevate up to Supervisor and/or Leader if problem is not resolved
• Health & Safety compliance in accordance with company policy.
• Maintain regular cleaning of the Hydrosieve filter
• Set AND adjust (as needed) Ishida product fill weights
• Verify and monitor the amount of air in a pouch against template at start and throughout the day. Adjusting vacuum settings as needed
• Monitor line for jam-ups
• Perform hourly QA checks for product being produced
• At end of run ensure physical count matches Plex, remaining boxes are wrapped, labeled with LPN, physical place material in PM Stage location and digitally move in PLEX.
• Make brine for production lines with the correct salt levels (get salt level from lead lab tech when running pickles)
• Maintain accurate ingredient levels in Plex to what is physically on hand, true up, scrap as needed
• Load production job to the work center in PLEX, based on Shift Priority
• Document/Enters all downtime occurrences in PLEX, in timely fashion
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and clean working area
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications / Specifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous production experience preferred
• Awareness of the safety and official procedures for handling good and supplies
• Ability to effectively manage time and meet set targets and deadlines
