Primary Duty:

Directs and coordinates activities of workers engaged in repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment, and in maintenance of building, grounds and utility systems of facility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Researches and implements corrective actions to problems with production line and facility in general.

Maintains critical spare parts inventory and ensures parts are available when needed.

Designs, implements and coordinates new system upgrades.

Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff.

Reviews production, quality control, and maintenance reports and statistics to plan and modify maintenance activities.

Ensures necessary fire protection systems are functional and inspections current.

Plans, develops and implements new methods and procedures designed to improve operations, minimize operating costs and effect greater utilization of labor and materials.

Reviews new product plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications with design engineers.

Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operations.

Responsible for physical plant security; consults with ADP, fire department and corporate office regarding security issues.

Confers with management, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.

Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, electric power, gas, or air required for operations.

Works with Plant Controller in developing department budget; monitors expenditure of funds in the budget.

Maintains and produces TS16949 documentation for area of responsibility as required.

Serves as facility Management Rep. for ISO 14001 certification process.

HSandE responsibilities as assigned.

Frequently requires daily, weekend overtime; may be required to perform tasks on shifts other than days.
