Langan Engineering & Environmental Services Senior Traffic/Transportation Project Manager in Saint Petersburg, Florida

Must have the following in order to apply:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer Licensure
  • Minimum of Ten plus (10+) years of Traffic Engineering/Transportation Planning experience in traffic/transportation engineering, traffic impact studies, traffic signal warrants, parking studies, driveway design, and traffic signal design
  • Valid Florida driver's license
  • Possess reliable transportation for client meetings and job site visits and a valid driver's license in good standing
  • Ableto occasionally travel and participate in field work
  • Must follow written and/or verbal instructions
  • Familiarity with state permitting and DOT guidelines and protocols for traffic impact analysis and highway design
  • Organizational skills necessary
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ableto manage multiple clients and projects, and to develop and manage project budgets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation are a plus
  • Public speaking skills; public testimony experience desirable

**Job Description: This individual will serve a key function in supporting and growing a traffic/transportation practice dedicated to serving private sector developers, corporations, and institutional clients on their real estate development projects.In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for managing as well as working on traffic and parking studies, transportation planning studies, and traffic signal/roadway design projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:**

Coordinate and perform the planning and permitting of traffic/transportation engineering, land development and infrastructure projects

Manage and deliver on multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines

Prepare progress reports and draft change orders

Prepare draft invoices, project billings, and assist in payment collections

Coordinate and work with staff to determine the feasibility of projects based on the analysis of preliminary data, and prepare and modify reports, specifications, plans, and design for projects

Organize, write and edit draft proposals, reports and other documents

Participate in the identification and pursuit of new clients, learn to develop additional work within an existing project and attend business development meetings with new and existing clients

Provide direct oversight and management of junior staff for specific project assignments

Coach, train, and motivate staff assigned to Traffic/Transportation projects
