WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

The Welder Fabricator is a key position at our Metal Tech facility. Primarily using MIG, TIG and Stick welding, flame-cutting and carbon arc equipment you’ll be working in a metal shop, fabricating access doors for Precast products.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you’ll primarily work with the welding team, and interact with assembly and yard teams.

A highlight of your day-to-day will include:

• Fabricating metal parts and assemblies by cutting, burning, and welding various metals. Using welding machines, oxy-acetylene torches, plasma cutters, various hand and power tools, cranes, forklifts, and other lifting equipment.

• Positioning, aligning, fitting, and welding parts to form complete units.

• Inspecting completed work for conformance to specifications. Ensuring work products meet specifications, including dimensional criteria, squareness standards, and weld call-outs through personal checking of product.

• Studying and reviewing production drawings to determine material requirements and task sequences.
