We are looking for capable, innovative, and enthusiastic achievers to join our team and grow with us. We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor for our Deposition team in Charleston, TN.
What you will do:
The Production Supervisor will manage the Deposition operations process on rotating shifts. They will manage the deposition shift teams in achieving goals in safety, productivity, quality, and housekeeping. The position is responsible for monitoring and supervising the activities of team members for whom he/she is responsible. Detailed responsibilities include: work station assignments/rotations, execution of the production process, process troubleshooting, scheduling team members, back-up for absent team members, and check list completions. The production supervisor will also consult with upper management in the execution of other supervisory responsibilities such as team member appraisals, training and coaching, and handling of disciplinary issues.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage production of control rooms Deposition, H2 Recovery, and deposition hall, in accordance with plant policies and procedures
Control processes according to SOPs and Work Instructions
Provide Logistic support and planning as required
Responsible for process and quality control tasks; including ensuring that sampling execution is timely and accurate following the approved technique.
Meet Polysilicon operations area goals
Communication and coordination with other departments and shifts in regard to quality or schedule changes
Responsible for implementing measures to reduce costs and improve productivity
Ensure preparation of equipment for maintenance activities and perform minor repairs as necessary
Assist in production as necessary and all other duties as assigned
Managerial Responsibilities:
Control work and personnel scheduling (including vacations) for team members
Move and allocate manpower as needed based on material and equipment status
Manage all aspects relating to production team members
Conduct training and information sessions; communicate information about shift happenings.
Participate in the morning production meetings and provide inputs for monthly operational reports
Ensure all required trainings are timely made by all team members in his/her area of responsibility
Ensure a clean and safe work area; maintain high standards for housekeeping and organization
Administrative Responsibilities:
Review SOPs and Work Instructions as required
Complete shift paperwork / or electronic documentation
Follow company policies regarding health and environmental protection, work safety, plant safety, quality, and all other company policies
Ensure environmentally compatible disposal and recycling of waste
Responsible for RCRA generation as relating to container and labeling usage, maintenance and storage functions, and regular inspections of RCRA applicable areas.
What we need from you:
External candidates will require an Associate’s degree in a technical field; Internal candidates: will require a high school diploma or equivalent plus completion of the Chemical Operator program at Chattanooga State Community College or equivalent program (Associate degree is preferred)
Candidates with an Associate’s degree will require 3 years of experience in a technical production environment and 2 years of leadership experience; Internal candidates with Chemical Operator program completion will require 5 years of experience in a technical production environment with 2 years of leadership experience.
2+ years as a people leader in a manufacturing environment
5+ years of professional experience in a technical/production environment
Experience with automated manufacturing
Must have excellent attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Capability to professionally deal with changing priorities and requirements
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
Ability to motivate others
Excellent reading, writing and math skills required
Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery
Proven technical and mechanical aptitude
MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) experience
Ability to perform and succeed in an environment of schedule and cost pressure
Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment combined with a team player attitude
Objective judgment and fact-based decision-making approach
Strong multi-tasking competency
