Position Summary:

The Corporate Director of Revenue Cycle Management is responsible for making a compelling difference in the lives of our residents through providing excellence and innovation in aging services. This role will provide leadership and oversight of all aspects of the revenue cycle process at WEL. The role will collaborate with all revenue cycle stakeholders to ensure effective revenue cycle management. Will also be a proactive and responsive leader, overseeing the systems of a rapidly changing business environment. This role will establish high performance standards in three key areas: Exceptional revenue cycle, Cash collection outcomes, and Continuous process improvement.

E ssential Duties and Responsibilities:

Billing and Account Receivable Management

  • Partners with the corporate office and communities around all aspects of the revenue cycle

  • Tracks and monitors key revenue cycle performance indicators and reports key findings to appropriate leadership and stakeholders across the organization.

  • Monitors and reports on accounts receivable monthly to management; providing analysis of trends in aged balances across communities, residents, and payers as well compared to trends in the industry.

  • Partners with corporate, communities and departmental leadership to assess and implement technology to enhance revenue cycle management.

  • Provides and/or supports project management of any revenue cycle management initiatives.

  • Meets established revenue cycle performance measures and cash collection targets including, but not limited to net days in AR, % of AR < 90 days, cost to collect, cash collections and denial resolution.

  • Manages the submission of insurance claims for services provided to residents including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance claims. This involves staying updated on reimbursement policies and procedures for various payouts.

    Leadership

  • Establishes success in the continuous improvement of departmental infrastructure and leverage of available technologies.

  • Retains and recruits a high performance and talented staff.

  • Effectively mentors high performing staff for promotion to positions requiring increased responsibilities.

  • Contributes to the institutional knowledge of the latest trends, practices, and state-of-the-art technology.

  • Use technology to leverage efficiency, mentoring and staff development.

Qualifications

Related Experience:

  • Minimum ten (10) years proven, progressive experience in Long term Care receivables management in a complex multi-site long term care/CCRC system.

  • Experience in managing teams and supervising staff. Ability to design, analyze and present user-friendly reports.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • Experience with Electronic Health Record /Billing systems.

  • Point Click Care Experience Preferred.

    Education or Degree Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business/Healthcare Management with an MBA preferred.
