The Human Resources Specialist in Risk Management will be responsible for overseeing the risk management aspects within our company, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and implementing risk mitigation strategies. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential risks and developing innovative solutions to prevent them. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures for the HR department. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential HR-related risks and develop mitigation plans. Collaborate with the legal department to ensure all HR practices comply with current laws and regulations. Manage the HR aspects of insurance policies, including workers' compensation, health benefits, and liability coverage. Provide guidance and training to HR staff on risk management best practices. Work closely with other departments to integrate risk management strategies across the organization. Oversee the management of HR incidents and claims, including investigations and resolutions. Stay informed of new trends and developments in HR risk management and adapt strategies accordingly. Oversees OSHA evaluations: Most construction projects require inspections from OSHA, we would require our safety manager to organize and oversee. This is also to include keep up-to-date records that include our OSHA-300 log. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field and/or 3 years experience in an HR role with a focus on risk management. Professional certification in risk management (e.g., ARM, CRM) is preferred. Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and legal regulations. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Other Requirements: Experience in developing and conducting training programs. Familiarity with HR software and tools. Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Benefits Package: Competitive salary range of $50,000 - $60,000 per year.
