The Sr Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for providing excellent service and support for our on-site employees and manufacturing operations.

This position is part of the Manufacturing Organization located in West Sacramento and will be on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time

You will be a part of the Manufacturing Team and report to the Facilities Manager responsible for maintenance of manufacturing equipment, maintaining spare parts inventory, and assisting with Facilities work requests. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Perform troubleshooting, emergency repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.

  • Conduct equipment safety inspections, departmental inspections, and 5S organizational activities.

  • Attend mandatory company-provided training, including manufacturing policies, EHS/safety, business conduct, security, housekeeping, information security awareness, and compliance training. Occasionally work alternate shifts and weekends as required

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Associate degree, or High School diploma with relevant work experience and certification in Electrical, Welding, or other relevant job skill.

  • Minimum 2+ years of successful experience as a Maintenance Technician/Mechanic in a manufacturing/production environment.

  • Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience, and be able to safely and effectively troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment related to various processes using basic hand tools, as well as mill, lathe, drill press, and/or welding equipment

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Using a computer to send and receive e-mails, open and update work orders, enter timesheet information, and ability to learn and utilize computerized work order and PM systems (CMMS).

  • Preferred FDA-regulated industry OR medical manufacturing

The hourly range for this role ranges from $26-$38.40. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
