Position Overview The Plant Laborer will assist the Plant Foreperson with daily production duties, operate heavy equipment and perform other miscellaneous plant related functions. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Perform production and maintenance tasks before, during and after plant production.
• Ability to accurately, safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment, depending on job site needs.
• Ability to ramp stock piles and load customers safely and in a time manner.
• Must be able to assist with maintenance in the event of a plant breakdown.
• Ability to clean up around plant and surrounding areas.
• Lubricate and perform general maintenance on equipment.

• Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
• Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
• Report to the assigned job site ready to begin work at the designated start time.

Education and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situation to customers, clients and other employees of the organization. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
