Responsible for teaching English Language Acquisition skills to adults in a classroom environment with beginning level language learners. Evaluate and improve English proficiency in the areas of reading, listening, speaking, and writing. Plan, organize, and provide instruction in English that meets state and federal requirements. Administer academic assessments for the purpose of evaluating student progress. Employ a variety of instructional techniques and strategies to meet the interest of students. Provide a supportive learning environment. Manage learning time to maximize student achievement. Must be proficient with computers and technology. Teaching and TESOL certification not required but is preferred.
